Neighbouring countries are: Bulgaria to the north west, and Greece to the west. Georgia is a neighbour of Turkey to the north east, and Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia – to the east. Turkey shares its south east border with Iraq and Syria. Turkey, due to its location, has the access to four seas that surround its shores: the Black Sea, the Aegean Sea, the Marmara Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. The coast with the length of nearly 7200 kilometres is enriched by multiple peninsulas, islands and islets. You can also find plenty of beautiful wild bays here, where you can easily anchor your boat to prepare a meal, sunbathe, jump to water or just for the night. The Turkish shore is so long and diverse that sailors gain an extraordinarily wide range of possibilities of route selection, and also any activities on land.

Tourists visiting Turkey have especially like one of the most beautiful and popular places on Earth: the Blue Lagoon in Ölüdeniz at the Turqoise Coast. If you decide to charter a yacht in Turkey, you cannot miss it.
One of the most modern and well-developed marinas are in Antalya, Marmaris, Bodrum, and also in Fethiye. The specific for Turkey Mediterranean climate in the basins of the Mediterranean and Aegean Seas shows hot and dry summer and mild, humid winter. Thus, the season lasts nearly all year long, but the majority of tourists and sailors can be met in holiday periods – from June to August.

The part of Turkey flown by the Sea of Marmara features characteristics of the Mediterranean and moderate climates, so it is not as hot here as near the regions mentioned above. At the Sea of Marmara shore, you can witness snowfall in winter. The region located at the Black Sea lies in the moderate maritime climate, so winter is much colder, and summer is still warm, but not so hot. In addition, it is falling throughout the year.
