Sweden belongs to Scandinavian countries and, like the rest of them, is not famous from hot summer. On the contrary – average temperatures are 16°C in summer, and fall down to -14°C, depending on the region. Neighbouring countries are: Norway to the west, Finland to the east and Denmark to the south west through a bridge over the Sound strait. Its shore is flown by the Baltic Sea. Interestingly, a single region in Sweden contains over 30 thousand islands and islets. This region is called the Stockholm Archipelago. This place became the most attractive for sailors part of Sweden. This number of islands guarantees plenty of possibilities and a wide selection of routes. The Swedish people located approx. seventy hundred of well-equipped, comfortable ports and many private harbours where you can dock.

Before you leave a port, you should get to know the region you will yacht well and attentively follow information on the map plotter – many islands and rocks are hidden just beneath the water surface, but invisible for people.
