The climate in Portugal is very pleasant. In addition, the landscape of Portugal is diversified by several islands belonging to its territory, like the Azores or Madeira. It is located in the subtropical climate zone – summer is very warm, sunny and – what is the most important – long. Winter is short and not freezing – the temperature is between 0 and 8°C. The sunny weather for the majority of the year is one of the advantages distinguishing Portugal from other countries and attracting tourists – not only those who visit the land, but also the ones who sail over the surrounding seas. Thanks to such insolation also the water temperature is high – it can reach even 17°C in November.
